     ARTS & CRAFTS Meeker "Madge Bellamy" leather purse with fitted mirror, pencil and comb insideThis purse is a billfold or a child size at 4-1/2" by 4-1/2" with 10" handle. There was a Madge Bellamy who was a stage and film actress popular 1920's, and I assume she is the person after whom this style was named. I love all the fitted compartments in this purse, and it is in excellent condition except for the coin purse, where the little snap has pulled through the leather. Arts & Crafts purses were advertised in the "Denver Jewelers Buying Guide, 1932", among other catalogs, and they came in a wide variety of designs.
