VICTORIAN Labrodite and silver cross pendant, circa 1890
Price: $88.00
DescriptionVICTORIAN Labrodite and silver cross pendant that is 2-1/8" by 1-3/4". This is circa 1890 or a bit earlier.
Black materials are often the most difficult to identify, but a rock hound friend of mine identified the cross as Labrodite (also spelled "Labradorite").
I cannot prove that, so I priced it as glass, although I am not sure it makes much difference either way. It is a really lovely and simple cross in good vintage condition with only two edge chips, very hard to see.
The last photo shows how this would look on a black glass beaded chain, just as one idea, and it would also look good on a silver chain. View Product #34581
