RICE-WEINER LC Mark water man brooch carrying his water containers across his shoulders
Price: $398.00
Description RICE-WEINER LC Mark water man brooch carrying his water containers across his shoulders, 3". Set in silver tone metal with beautiful detailed enameling, cloisonné and glass beads, it is signed on the back "pat D 129,573" (see the last photo here), and made by Rice-Weiner circa 1941, designer Lois C Mark.
On close examination, you can see the blue enamel on a dot or two is rubbed, see the closer View, but it is otherwise in wonderful condition. This can be seen in Brunialti's "American Costume Jewelry, N-Z" on page 14. Brooches similar to this were also made by other companies, but most of the unsigned pins are much lower in quality and with lighter weight metal than this one. View Product #Y65164
