Description DEROSA dogwood flower necklace with beautifully enameled yellow and deep red petals with green leaves accented with clear rhinestones. In a gold plated setting from the 1940s, it is 15" wearable length and the flower is 2-1/8" by 2-1/8". It is signed on the back of the flower "R DeRosa" and on the clasp "sterling". There is a nibble of enamel missing along a few edges as can be seen in the photo. DeRosa made such unusual pieces and unlike most well-known jewelry companies, they didn't make very many of any one design, which makes them harder to find. The Dogwood flower is the symbol of hope and rebirth, appropriate during the World War II years when it was made as well as for today.
The last two photos show this with the matching fur clip, which is for sale elsewhere on this web site.
