Larry says thousands of these were made because this was an extremely well-received group which stayed in the line for about 2 years due to it’s popularity. FLY brooch in gold tone with trembler wings, clear rhinestone wing accents and green rhinestone eyes, 2". Hattie Carnegie company marketed one exactly like this, but this one is not signed. Liz Gross told me that these were marketed by a few companies including Nettie Rosenstein, Pauline Rader, Florenza and Carnegie. Carnegie’s first was in 1968 at $5.00 but it had no stones on wings, and in 1970, is was $7.50 with stones. View #Y51082 |

NATACHA BROOKS bees in gilt sterling chatelaine brooches. The larger bee is 2-1/3" by 1-3/4" and the smaller moth is 1-1/2" by 1′, and the chain is 5-1/2". It comes with the BARCLAY original design art work for this brooch. It is interesting to see that the original idea was for the pods to be green enamel, but in the finished brooch leaves are green instead. The design process of jewelry is documented here.
