of the Koshari Clown Dancer Kachina Doll: The Koshari Kachina are
figures that are both sacred and profane. Their actions are considered
humorous, yet the Hopi frown on doing those things themselves. Koshari
clown kachinas are often shown with watermelons to show they are
gluttons. He was active since the 1990s. The head is jointed
so it can move separately from the body. This is 4" from the top of
the loop by 1-5/8" and weighs 1.60 ounces. It has the hand etched
signature "Herman Vandever" mark on the back.

turquoise and fold-out layers, very spectacular workmanship. The front
has a flying eagle over pine trees and it opens to a view of the eagle
flying over elk, trees and mountains. It reflects from the smooth
sterling surface of the reverse side of the front of the bolo tie. We
think this was made in about 2015 and we bought it from Herman himself.

jewelry maker from 1976 on, and he won many awards in Oklahoma, New

circa 1950, with the Maisel’s kachina mark. "Dragon’s breath" is glass
cabochon that is specially treated to give it this particular coloring and

this as a child living in the southwest in the
1950’s. The cabochon is set in a twisted wire surround with a beaded design
on both sides and crossed arrows beside that. On the sides are the motifs of the
flat shouldered Thunderbird and raining clouds. On the back is a Kachina maker’s
mark used by Maisel’s as well as the word, "sterling". The is very slight scratching on
a small part of the cabochon stone, not visible except with a raking light and a
magnifier. Wearable size 6-1/3" which includes the 1-1/8" back opening,
about 1" wide at the front and weighs about

well-known Native American Navajo maker, Jerry T Nelson . The radiating lines
centered on each piece of turquoise and the scalloped edges are both beautiful.

2" each. Born in 1959, Nelson always made a high quality product, and this
