VINTAGE BAKELITE… Contemporary ARTISTS!
Ron Shultz makes some of the most charming, colorful
and interesting bakelite jewelry being crafted in the late 20th century,
and with by far the best finish
as Ron’s craftsmanship is wonderful. Ron started making these wonderful
pieces in the 1980s and continues today. He utilizes 1930-1940s pieces
of bakelite, which he re-works, carves, laminates and/or paints to creates
his jewelry. His pieces
are created one at a time by hand. Not only is he talented and creative,
but his jewelry is extremely wearable and
collectible. One of the most fun parts of having a wardrobe of Shultz bangles is the
way they can be mixed and matched to create many different looks and
moods, and to go with almost any style. If you want to have a real

Shultz collected bakelite charms, buttons
and other objects to use in creating these intricate brooches. Some are
themed, like the School Days brooches, and some just a whimsical
collection of colorful pieces.

SHULTZ bakelite cookie button
brooch in red, butterscotch and green, an older Shultz piece that has
mellowed beautifully over many years, 4" long and 2-1/2" wide. This
