~SCHIAPARELLI~

SCHIAPARELLI jewelry was made from about 1931-1973, although we don’t think
it wasn’t made by her that entire time. It usually features high quality rhinestones in sophisticated and colorful
combinations. In the earlier
years pieces were often whimsical. Schiaparelli jewelry is not always marked
on every piece in the set.

SCHIAPARELLI JEWELS
"Champagne Morning" 1957

SCHIAPARELLI lavender foiled and unfoiled rhinestones and
glass cabochons brooch and earrings, all set in gold tone metal.
The earrings are signed on the back but the brooch is not, typical of
the Schiaparelli pieces in this style. The brooch is 2-3/4" across, and the clip back earrings 1-1/4".
This set came from the late 1950s.

has the script "Schiaparelli" mark on a plaque on the back of the catch.

SCHIAPARELLI yellow unfoiled
rhinestone, cabochons and aurora 14-15" necklace (front 1-1/3" wide), 7-3/4"
by 2" bracelet, 2" earrings. Some pieces of this set have the
script "Schiaparelli" mark on a plaque on the back. This
necklace has the typical acorn end as can be seen in the photo.

SCHIAPARELLI gold
tone and black enamel brooch with clear rhinestone accents, about 1938
because I have seen an ad for this from that date,
2-1/4" by 2". This has the older printed "Schiaparelli" mark
on the back on a long rectangular plaque. In the advertisement it
calls this "Victorian inspired" and it also shows a matching bracelet. View

SCHIAPARELLI
semi-matte gold tone and rich wine red glass cabochons necklace, 16" by
7/8". This is a rare circa 1930’s piece, and has the lower case block-letter signature (per Ginger Moro author of "European Designer
Jewelry"). It lays very flatteringly on the neck, and the
cabochons are a beautiful wine red
color.

aurora borealis accents set in silver tone, unsigned, 2-5/8". The sets in
this style were often signed on the back of the earrings but not the brooches, and

SCHIAPARELLI
brooch with rich gem colored rhinestones with a brushed gold tone knot setting, 4-1/3" long by 1-1/3" wide.
This set was signed on the bracelet, which I have seen before, but not on the
brooch. It’s a lovely cascade of color circa 1960.

SCHIAPARELLI
unsigned brown and gray rhinestones and pressed glass leaf brooch
with an aurora borealis finish on the pressed glass leaves, brooch is 2-1/8"
by 2-1/8". While this has no signature, it is made like other
Schiaparelli brooches we have had, just a bit smaller. Brooches in
this style were often signed on the matching earrings but not on the brooch.

borealis set in silver tone brooch with all the quality and attributes of
Schiaparelli, but no signature, 2-1/2". Although this is unsigned as some
Schiaparelli was, I attribute it based on this bracelet which was signed
VIEW.

SCHIAPARELLI "Champagne Morning"
1957 set with unfoiled yellow rhinestones, carved glass leaves and
celery colored aurora borealis. The earrings are signed
"Schiaparelli" on the back, and the brooch
not signed as usual.

Champagne Morning. The bracelet to this set can be seen in "Jewels of Fantasy" and the
brooch on page 201Ginger Moro’s "European Designer Jewelry" on page 87,
and this also came in green as seen on page 89.

SCHIAPARELLI yellow bracelet, earrings and ring with brilliant
unfoiled large faceted yellow stones in oval and teardrop shapes, yellow
pearlized glass round cabochons, celery green aurora borealis
rhinestones and glass pearls, all set in gold tone. The bracelet is
7-1/4" by 2" with a safety chain, clip back earrings 1-1/3", ring
adjustable and 1" across. This wonderful set is from the late 1950s and
all pieces are signed "Schiaparelli" except the ring, which is
adjustable and a perfect match to the other pieces. The clip backs on
the earrings are also marked with a patent number 25830980, a patent for
the earrings mechanism only.
