          AUSTRO-HUNGARIAN genuine AMETHYST Renaissance inspired necklace with mother-of-pearl accents in a gold plated silver settingIt has the boar's head hallmark on the clasp as well as the mark "<12", the meaning of which we do not know. It is 16" wearable length with a center element of 2" by 1-5/8". There is a nice layered leaf design along with other designs, and the decoration runs all the way up to the clasp. It is typical of this type of jewelry that it has precious stones set in gold plated silver.
