DEROSA acrostic "Regards" rhinestone fur clip in gold plated setting made in the 1940s, as isThe rhinestones are colors that represent ruby, emerald, garnet, amethyst, ruby, diamonds and sapphire, which acrostically spell out the word "regards". NOTE: I had another clip like this one, and on it was a small piece in the center of the very top, and that is missing here. You must look closely to see where it was, and it is still lovely, but it is priced as-is that reason. There is light finish wear as often happens on these older DeRosa pieces and some of the clear rhinestones have grayed with age, so this is priced accordingly. It is still a lovely and wearable piece. Other DeRosa acrostics pieces can be seen in the book, "Jewels of Fantasy" by Deanna Cera on page 158. In the book, "Swarovski, a Celebrating a History of Collaborations in Fashion, Jewelry, Performance & Design" on page 149, a DeRosa brooch similar to this one is featured, so DeRosa used the high quality Swarovski crystals in at least some of their jewelry.
