DescriptionMARIQUITA Masterson rare poured glass brooch and clip back earrings set in a very unusual gold plated sterling silver, brooch 2" and clip back earrings 1-1/3". Masterson started her jewelry line in Houston in 1984, where it is still made today. The jewelry is set in gold plated sterling silver, and each piece is hand made and set with Pate de Verre, slumped or dripped glass so that no two are exactly alike. She often uses recycled bottles, which are melted and made into this wonderful collectible and very wearable jewelry.
It is signed on the back with her logo and "925". This is a very interesting set as far as the color goes and I really do like it! While the glass is gray, when I try to photo it from the sides, the glass is so thick that it looks charcoal. And from the front it depends on how you turn it, and it can even look a bit green. If you look on the opposite side as my thumb in one photo, you can see a crescent of the gray glass without the gold metal behind it.
So now I do not know just what color to call it! Between the gray glass and the gold metal behind it, it changes a good bit, but it is lovely in every way. ViewView Product #X65452
