STARET GENUINE 1940s torch brooch, an iconic and patriotic brooch with red and clear rhinestones and enamel
Price: $998.00
DescriptionSTARET GENUINE 1940s torch brooch, an iconic and patriotic brooch with red and clear rhinestones and blue, red and flesh pink enamel, genuine and made in the 1940s, 4-1/8". This is the real thing and not the later Barnes reproduction, and I have owned both so I know the difference. Staret was based in Chicago, Illinois, and they only made jewelry for a brief period from about 1940-1947. This wonderful brooch is seen in Christie Romero's "Warman's Jewelry", 2nd Ed, page 191, in Brunialti's "Tribute to America" on page 55 and in Brunialti's "American Costume Jewelry, Art & Industry" on page 242.
