Description SWAROVSKI brooch of a winged figure hippocampus creature figural with clear rhinestone pave wings and body and a green eye set in a hand polished gold plated setting, 3-1/4" by 2-1/2".  After years of thinking this was a griffon, a dragon or serpent, I ran across a web page that showed it as a "hippocampus", a mythological animal described as a horse of the sea and ridden by sea gods.  It is definitely a brooch with great presence, and it is in brand new condition.
