    VICTORIAN Whitby jet beads pendant with Tyrolean boyIt is amazing to look at these beads and realize they were made by hand one at a time with simple tools, circa 1870. What amazing workmanship! And the plaques were made in Austria and sent to Whitby, England, to be mounted into jet for jewelry. They are a young Tyrolean boy, but are also called the "gypsy boy" or "green boy".
